The Supreme Court directed the relevant authorities on Tuesday to shift jailed PTI founder Imran Khan to Islamabad’s Shifa International hospital for medical checkup in a few days.
A three-member SC bench, headed by Justice Shahid Wahid and comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim issued the ruling on Imran’s petition for his hospitalisation.
The court also ordered to ensure his weekly meetings with his family members. The court further directed the formation of a medical board with which Imran’s personal physician and his sister, Dr Uzma Khan, are to remain associated.
Moreover, Imran’s lawyers and family members were instructed not to share his medical reports with the media or politicise the matter.
