"Major General Rao Imran Sartaj, IG FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North), chairs an important grand jirga with tribal elders, local leaders, Govt & security officials of Upper Dir and Lower Dir, during which a comprehensive review of the current law and order situation in both districts was conducted, and a joint and coordinated course of action was deliberated for establishing sustainable peace.The jirga was attended by the Commissioner Malakand Division, Regional Police Officer Malakand, Commandant Dir Scouts, Deputy Commissioners of Upper and Lower Dir, District Police Officers of Upper and Lower Dir, along with a large number of tribal elders and leaders.On this occasion, IGFC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) Major General Rao Imran Sartaj, while addressing the gathering, stated that ensuring sustainable peace, stability, and the protection of lives and property of the people in Upper Dir and Lower Dir is a collective responsibility of the government, security forces, police, and the public. He said that through mutual cooperation and unity between the security forces and the public, the designs of peace-disrupting elements and Khawarij in the region will be thwarted.Major General Rao Imran Sartaj urged the people and elders of Dir to further strengthen their cooperation with the security forces and law enforcement agencies and to play their full role in establishing peace and order.During the jirga, the elders and leaders expressed their commitment to unconditional cooperation with the government, police, and security forces. They also reiterated their resolve to support the security institutions through national militias and mutual cooperation at the local level, within the framework of the law, to improve the law and order situation in sensitive areas.At the conclusion of the jirga, special prayers were offered for sustainable peace in Upper and Lower Dir, the prosperity of the people, development, and a bright future for the region."
