The operation, conducted in the Kalat district of Balochistan, was part of the ongoing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3, a sustained campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure across the province. According to security sources, the operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of BLA militants in the area.
A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the eliminated terrorists, further degrading the operational capability of the BLA network. The successful operation is being described as a major setback to the group's ability to carry out attacks in the region.
Security forces have reaffirmed their commitment to continuing operations under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3 until the complete elimination of terrorism from Balochistan. The campaign, launched in response to a series of deadly attacks on security forces and civilians, has already resulted in the elimination of dozens of terrorists across the province.
The BLA, which Pakistan has designated as Fitna al-Hindustan, is accused of receiving financial and logistical support from Indian intelligence agencies to destabilize Pakistan. The group has claimed responsibility for numerous attacks on security personnel, civilians, and critical infrastructure, including gas pipelines and CPEC projects.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir have repeatedly reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism. Security forces continue to conduct intelligence-based operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting terrorist hideouts, facilitators, and networks.
The elimination of five BLA terrorists in Kalat is yet another testament to the courage and capability of Pakistan's security forces in protecting the nation from the scourge of Indian-sponsored terrorism.
