New Delhi/Islamabad - In a fiery televised debate on Republic TV, senior Pakistani journalist Raja Faisal strongly confronted Israeli Minister Amichai Chikli, exposing deep divisions over Pakistan's successful mediation in the US-Israel-Iran ceasefire.
During the heated exchange on Arnab Goswami's show, the Israeli minister attacked Pakistan, calling it part of a "radical Sunni axis of evil" allegedly allied with Hezbollah and Hamas, and outright dismissed Islamabad's crucial role in brokering the April 7-8 ceasefire.

Raja Faisal hit back powerfully, declaring: "You may call him a respected Israeli minister, but to us and to millions of people in the region, he represents a genocidal regime. Israel is behaving like a terrorist state."
The Pakistani journalist forcefully condemned Israel's April 8 airstrikes on Lebanon that killed at least 254 people and wounded over 1,000, calling them blatant violations of the Pakistan-brokered truce. Faisal emphasized that Islamabad insists the ceasefire covers all fronts, including Lebanon, and accused Israel of undermining the peace process.
Even anchor Arnab Goswami struggled to control the debate as the Pakistani journalist dominated the exchange, leaving the Israeli minister on the defensive. Clips of the showdown have gone massively viral in Pakistan with the tagline "Pakistan Cooked Israel on Indian TV."
The clash has highlighted that India and Israel appear to be the only two countries unhappy with Pakistan's diplomatic success in ending the US-Iran conflict. While the international community has welcomed the ceasefire, both nations continue to show skepticism and hostility toward Pakistan's mediation efforts.
Pakistani officials and analysts praised Raja Faisal for giving a strong and befitting reply on live Indian television. "When Israel commits aggression and then cries foul, it must be called out," said one Pakistani diplomat. "Our journalist spoke the truth that the world needs to hear."
The exchange has further boosted national pride in Pakistan, reinforcing the narrative that while India and Israel remain warmongering and isolated, Pakistan has emerged as a responsible peacemaker in the Middle East crisis.
