According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists were traveling by motorcycles and were on their way to carry out a major attack when they were intercepted at roadblocks using advanced technology and weapons. A large quantity of modern weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists, including vehicles, guns, an IED, ammunition, and the group's flag .
The terrorists were identified as members of Fitna al-Hindustan, a term used by Pakistan's official establishment to describe Indian-sponsored terrorist networks operating in Balochistan. These groups receive funding, weapons, and operational guidance from India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) .
According to the ISPR, the terrorists were involved in:
Looting of local residents
Extortion and kidnapping for ransom
Target killings of civilians and security personnel
Planning suicide attacks
The operation is part of Pakistan's ongoing counterterrorism campaign under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna III, which aims to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorist networks from Balochistan and restore stability to the region . The operation follows a series of successful intelligence-based operations across Balochistan, including in Kharan and Mastung districts where eight terrorists were eliminated in June 2026 .
Pakistan's security forces remain resolute in defending the nation against Indian-sponsored proxy networks. The successful ambush in Panjgur demonstrates the effectiveness of intelligence-based operations and the commitment of Pakistani forces to neutralizing threats before they can harm civilians .
