With a tragic history of terrorism affecting its citizens, Pakistan has witnessed significant loss of life, particularly in 2025, which marked one of the deadliest years in over a decade. The impact of terrorism extends beyond casualties, deeply affecting families and communities.
Over the years, Pakistan has faced terrorism from various factions, exacerbated by geopolitical factors and cross-border dynamics. This has prompted a robust response from the countrys brave soldiers and law enforcement agencies, who have sacrificed much in the pursuit of safety and peace. The Pakistan government has taken a multi-faceted approach towards addressing these threats, including military action, community engagement, and international collaboration to deter and dismantle terrorist networks.
In the context of this global day of remembrance, Pakistan calls upon the international community to extend their support to all victims of terrorism, advocating for unified efforts to combat this scourge. Pakistan emphasizes that successful counter-terrorism strategies must operate free from discrimination and bias, ensuring that all victims receive due recognition and support, irrespective of their nationality or affiliation. The situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, where people continue to endure occupation and repression, serves as a poignant reminder of the global nature of terrorism and the need for comprehensive solutions.
As Pakistan commemorates the resilience of its victims and heroes, it also pushes for proactive international cooperation to foster a safer, more peaceful world. By sharing intelligence, resources, and experiences, nations can create stronger frameworks to combat terrorism effectively. Moving forward, Pakistan remains committed to enhancing its internal capabilities while also playing an active role in international initiatives aimed at eradicating terrorism. The vision for a secure future, free from the threat of terrorism, is one that requires shared responsibility and unwavering resolve from the international community.
