ZIARAT, BalochistanΒ - In a cowardly assault on the night of July 6, 2026, terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsoredΒ Fitna al-HindustanΒ andΒ Fitna al-KhawarijΒ networks attacked a police post in the Mangi Dam area of Ziarat districtΒ . The attack was repelled by security forces, resulting in the elimination ofΒ 15 terroristsΒ . However,Β nine police personnel, including two Station House Officers (SHOs), embraced martyrdomΒ .

The Attack and Response

According to officials, the armed men attacked the police post late at night, sparking a fierce gun battleΒ . Security forces responded swiftly and decisively, launching a clearance operation that led to the killing of 15 terrorists from the Fitna al-Khawarij network-the state's designation for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)Β . A subsequent statement from the provincial government confirmed that the terrorists had "paid a heavy price" for disturbing peace in BalochistanΒ .

The Indian Nexus: Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij

The attack bears the clear fingerprints of Indian state sponsorship. Pakistan's military and civilian leadership have repeatedly identified the nexus betweenΒ Fitna al-HindustanΒ (the state's designation for Indian-sponsored terrorist groups in Balochistan) andΒ Fitna al-KhawarijΒ (the TTP)Β .

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has stated that following its "manifest defeat" in the May 2025 conflict, India is "doubling down to further its nefarious agenda through its proxies of Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan"Β .

Official Condemnation

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the police for killing 15 terrorists and affirmed that the nation and security forces were determined to thwart "every conspiracy by Indian-sponsored terrorists to sabotage peace"Β . Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to the martyred police personnel, stating they had set an example of "unparalleled sacrifice"Β . He warned that those challenging the writ of the state would "only meet defeat and death"Β .

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also strongly condemned the terrorist attack, vowing that the "blood of the martyrs will be avenged" and that the state will foil every conspiracy aimed at undermining peace in BalochistanΒ .
