Turkey-ASEAN Dialogue Partnership: A Strategic Leap for Multilateral Engagement

The partnership holds immense potential for boosting bilateral trade, fostering technology and energy cooperation, and aligning on issues such as counterterrorism and maritime security. However, the practical success of this partnership will depend on Turkey's ability to translate political will into concrete projects, especially given ASEAN's consensus-based decision-making and the physical distance between the regions. Nevertheless, the move is a testament to Turkey's growing global outreach and ASEAN's openness to engaging with non-regional powers.
