Over the past few weeks, the group has launched a series of attacks against tribal leaders, signaling a deliberate strategy to dismantle local governance and resistance. According to reliable P-AM sources embedded within TTP, the organization's central leadership has issued direct orders to fighters to systematically attack and neutralize tribal elders. This marks a dangerous shift from sporadic violence to organized persecution of traditional tribal authority. In my opinion, this escalation reflects TTP's desperation to reassert control in a region where local tribes have increasingly cooperated with Pakistani security forces. By targeting tribal leaders—the bedrock of social order in Pashtun society—the TTP aims to create a power vacuum, spread fear, and fracture community resistance. However, such brutality often backfires, galvanizing tribes to unite against the common enemy.
