This young demographic is often seen as a challenge due to employment pressures and infrastructure needs, but the PM reframed it as a massive asset. He argued that if properly harnessed through IT-led and AI-led initiatives, this youth bulge can drive unprecedented economic gains and socio-economic progress. He specifically pointed to technology sectors as the key to unlocking this potential, citing the need for investment in intelligence, software development, and digital services. Additionally, he invited foreign investment in renewable energy—solar, wind, and water reservoirs—to power this transformation sustainably. In my opinion, the PM’s vision is both bold and necessary. Pakistan’s youth are digitally native, ambitious, and resilient, but the country has historically underinvested in tech education and infrastructure. To truly turn this demographic dividend into reality, the government must pair rhetoric with concrete policy reforms: tax incentives for tech startups, expanded coding and AI training programs, and reliable internet access in rural areas. The renewable energy call is equally strategic, as clean power reduces costs and attracts green-tech investors. If executed well, this dual focus on digital innovation and clean energy could position Pakistan as a regional tech and energy hub, lifting millions out of poverty and creating a self-sustaining cycle of growth.
