Upon arrival back in Pakistan, the Field Marshal was received by H.E. Eskandar Momeni, Interior Minister, along with senior civil and military officials. Opinion: In my view, the visit underscores Pakistan's growing role as a regional mediator and reinforces the importance of Iran-Pakistan cooperation for broader security in South and Central Asia. If sustained, such diplomatic momentum could anchor de-escalation efforts following the April 8 ceasefire and pave the way for more inclusive talks. However, lasting progress will require concrete follow-through, transparency, and engagement with all stakeholders amid domestic and international pressures.
