ZIARAT, BALOCHISTAN - In a poignant display of solidarity and respect, Pakistani security forces, including personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC), have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the families of the martyrs who fell in the line of duty during the 6 July terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Kach Mangi Phase-3, Ziarat.
The security forces visited the homes of the fallen heroes, offering condolences, sharing in the grief of the families, and paying heartfelt tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by the brave policemen.
Nine police personnel, including two Station House Officers (SHOs), embraced martyrdom while valiantly defending their post against a coordinated attack by terrorists affiliated with Fitna-al-Khawarij (FAK) and Fitna-al-Hindustan (FAH). The police successfully repulsed the assault, killing 15 terrorists in the exchange of fire.
The martyred officers were identified as:
Muhammad Hussain, SHO Mangi
Sohbat Khan, SHO Kowas
Seven other police personnel
Military and police officials visited the families of the martyrs in Ziarat and surrounding areas, offering prayers and assuring them that the sacrifices of their loved ones would never be forgotten. The families were embraced with warmth, respect, and deep gratitude as security personnel expressed their unwavering support.
"These brave sons of the soil gave their lives defending the motherland. Their sacrifice is the foundation upon which peace stands. We stand with their families, and we will never forget their courage."
The local communities of Ziarat and Balochistan also came forward to honor the martyrs, with citizens expressing their solidarity with the security forces. In a powerful message of unity, the people of Balochistan have rejected the enemy's propaganda aimed at dividing them from their protectors.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti - who had earlier personally met with local protesters and stated: "The enemy is killing us while spreading propaganda to turn our own people against the security forces" - has reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the families of martyrs.
Across Pakistan, citizens, political leaders, and civil society have expressed their admiration for the fallen heroes. Messages of support have poured in on social media, with hashtags honoring the martyrs trending across platforms. The overwhelming sentiment is one of gratitude - and an unshakeable resolve to stand behind the nation's security forces.
The sacrifices of Pakistan's brave policemen and soldiers are not forgotten. They are honored. They are cherished. And the Pakistani nation stands united in its commitment to ensuring that their blood was not shed in vain.
The solidarity shown by the security forces and the nation underscores the deep bond between the people of Pakistan and their protectors. As one security official put it:
"Every martyr is a chapter of courage written in the history of Pakistan. We will continue to fight to ensure that their sacrifice is honored - and that the enemy never succeeds."
