However, the geopolitical landscape has shifted dramatically: today, the United States and Iran have announced progress toward a potential nuclear deal, with Washington reportedly engaging Tehran directly while largely sidelining Israel’s objections on key aspects of Iran’s nuclear program. In response, the same pro-Israel voices that previously targeted Pakistan have now joined forces with India to intensify criticism and propaganda against Pakistan. This pattern reveals a troubling dynamic where Pakistan is used as a convenient scapegoat whenever cracks appear in the U.S.-Israel relationship. In my opinion, this is a classic case of geopolitical deflection—instead of addressing the real tensions between Washington and Tel Aviv over Iran policy, attention is redirected toward an unrelated third party. Pakistan’s alleged role in damaging U.S.-Israel ties is exaggerated, if not , to serve as a political shield. The reality is that the U.S.-Iran deal represents a major strategic realignment that bypasses Israel’s security concerns, and blaming Pakistan conveniently diverts scrutiny from this shift. This underscores how smaller nations are often weaponized in the grand chessboard of international relations, and it exposes the hypocrisy of using Pakistan as a rhetorical lightning rod while deeper alliances undergo fundamental changes.
