In a decisive night operation on July 11-12, Frontier Corps (FC) forces established a block party along a suspected infiltration route in Balochistan, acting on intelligence that fleeing terrorist cells were moving in small groups amid heightened operational pressure. The security team spotted 4-6 armed suspects approaching on motorcycles and challenged them, triggering a fierce firefight. All five terrorists were neutralized. Subsequent recoveries included an M4 carbine with 455 rounds, three submachine guns with 951 rounds, a rocket launcher with three rockets, an under-barrel grenade launcher, a night vision device, four ICOM communication sets, two alpha devices, two motorcycles, and handheld jammers. The sheer sophistication and volume of the arsenal—especially the night vision gear and jammers—underscores the level of external backing these militants receive. In my opinion, this operation exposes a troubling reality: the terrorists are not merely local insurgents but well-funded proxies armed and trained by hostile intelligence agencies, most notably India's RAW and elements within the Afghan regime. The recovery of advanced communication equipment and heavy weaponry confirms that cross-border terrorism remains a significant threat. Pakistan's security forces continue to demonstrate professionalism and resolve, but the international community must take note of these findings and hold state sponsors accountable.
