RAWALPINDI - Pakistan's security forces have achieved major successes in the ongoing Operation Shaban against Indian-backed terrorists in Balochistan, eliminating over 150 terrorists since July 5 through coordinated intelligence-based operations .

According to security sources, the total number of terrorists killed during Operation Shaban has reached 88, while an additional 38 have been eliminated in other intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across the province, bringing the overall tally to 126 confirmed kills . The sustained offensive has inflicted heavy losses on militant networks operating in Balochistan, forcing them to abandon their hideouts and flee .

Joint Operation Following Ziarat Attack

Operation Shaban was launched in retaliation for the deadly July 7 attack on a police checkpost at the Mangi Dam pumping station in Ziarat, where terrorists abducted and martyred 27 police officers . The joint operation involves personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan Police, and the Anti-Terrorism Force, conducting coordinated air and ground operations .

Security forces have recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment from the terrorists' hideouts, including submachine guns, rocket launchers, and mobile phones .

Civil-Military Leadership United Against Terrorism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, chairing a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee in Quetta alongside Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, declared: "One thing is decided: it is a mutual and singular decision of the civil and military leadership that we must end terrorism collectively" .

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their professionalism, stating that the killing of terrorists "reflects the high level of preparedness, professionalism, and operational readiness of Pakistan's security forces" . Naqvi reaffirmed that the fight would continue until the elimination of "Fitna al-Hindustan" terrorists - the state's term for Indian-sponsored groups operating in Balochistan .

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also declared that there could be "no compromise on Pakistan's sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security", and ruled out any dialogue with those seeking to undermine or dismember the state .

Indian-Backed Terrorism Exposed

According to security officials, the operation specifically targets terrorist groups identified as Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK) and Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) - groups allegedly receiving financial and logistical support from Indian intelligence agencies . The use of advanced US-made weapons, including M4 rifles originally supplied to Afghan forces, recovered from the slain terrorists highlights the external support fueling terrorism in the region.

Operation to Continue Until Last Terrorist Eliminated

Security sources have reaffirmed that Operation Shaban will continue across Balochistan until the last terrorist is eliminated . Pakistan's message is clear: the nation will not bow to terrorism, regardless of who sponsors it, and every resource will be utilized to eradicate the threat.
