RAWALPINDI - Pakistan's security forces continue their relentless campaign against terrorism under Operation Shaban, with the death toll of Indian-backed terrorists now exceeding 80 in the operation alone, while the overall count since July 5 has surpassed 120, according to official sources.

Latest Operations

Security sources confirm that more terrorists were eliminated in ongoing air and ground operations in Balochistan. According to state-run media, the total number of terrorists killed in Operation Shaban has reached 83, while the overall count since July 5 - including other intelligence-based operations - has risen to 121.

Operation Shaban, a joint effort by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), police, and the Anti-Terrorism Force, was launched in retaliation for the deadly July 7 attack on a police checkpost at the Mangi Dam pumping station in Ziarat, during which armed attackers kidnapped and martyred 27 police officers.

Indian-Backed Terrorism Targeted

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the security forces for their professionalism, stating that the killing of terrorists "reflects the high level of preparedness, professionalism, and operational readiness of Pakistan's security forces". He reaffirmed that "the fight will continue until the elimination of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists" - the state's term for India-sponsored groups in Balochistan.

Advanced Weapons Recovered

Security sources have recovered a massive cache of arms and ammunition from the slain terrorists, including M4 rifles, submachine guns, rocket launchers, and other equipment. Officials noted that the recovered arsenal included advanced US weapons left behind in Afghanistan following the American military withdrawal.

Resolve Unshaken

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speaking alongside Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir at a Provincial Apex Committee meeting, declared: "One thing is decided: it is a mutual and singular decision of the civil and military leadership that we must end terrorism collectively".

Security sources have reaffirmed that Operation Shaban will continue in Balochistan until the last terrorist is eliminated.
