Operation Ghazab Lil Haq Against Afghan Taliban Continues, DG ISPR Warns Facilitators Will Pay

RAWALPINDI - Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reaffirmed that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq remains ongoing, warning that those who nurture, support, and facilitate terrorism under the Afghan Taliban regime will pay the price .

Operation Motivated by Afghan Taliban Aggression

DG ISPR stated that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq is not a standalone campaign but part of Pakistan's long-running counterterrorism efforts against a war imposed on the country . The operation was launched after the Afghan Taliban regime carried out attacks on Pakistan's posts at fifty-three locations .

"The Afghan Taliban regime, which is the master proxy of all terrorist proxies, came into action and opened unprovoked fire and conducted physical raids on 53 locations along the Pak-Afghan border," DG ISPR stated .

Terrorist Infrastructure Targeted

According to the military's media wing, the operation has inflicted significant losses on the Afghan Taliban regime and Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) elements. 274 Afghan Taliban personnel have been killed, with more than 400 injured . 73 posts have been completely destroyed and 18 captured, with 115 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery pieces destroyed .

Eighty-one air strikes have been conducted inside Afghanistan, all directed against terrorist support infrastructure . Precision-guided munitions were used to specifically target these sites to prevent collateral damage .

India's Role Exposed

DG ISPR has repeatedly highlighted India's involvement in the current conflict, alleging that "behind every terrorist attack was Indian sponsorship, abetment, and design" . He stated that India was using Afghanistan as "a base of operations" and providing support to militant actors operating from Afghan territory .

Terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are hiding in government buildings in Afghanistan with the full backing of the Afghan Taliban regime . The Afghan regime is currently harboring non-state actors that pose a threat to various countries in the region .

Taliban Must Choose Between Terrorism and Peace

DG ISPR has made it clear that Pakistan's stance is firm: the Afghan Taliban regime must choose between terrorism and peace .

"The choice has to be made by the Afghan Taliban regime - is the TTP more important to them or Pakistan? Is terrorism more important to them than peace?" DG ISPR stated . "Our choice is very clear: it's Pakistan, first and last."

Security sources have emphasized that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until there are credible guarantees and concrete steps from the Afghan Taliban regime to end the sponsorship of terrorism .

Pakistan's Right to Self-Defense

Pakistan has framed Operation Ghazab Lil Haq as an exercise of its right to self-defense under international law and the UN Charter . The government has called on the international community to press Kabul to act against terrorist groups operating from its soil.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared "zero tolerance" for the nexus between Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban regime . Security forces are targeting hideouts, facilitation centers, and launch pads of Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan involved in terrorism .

Operation to Continue Until Objectives Achieved

While Pakistan announced a temporary pause in Operation Ghazab Lil Haq on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, the government has made it clear that operations will continue "until the objectives are achieved" . Any cross-border attack, drone strike, or terrorist incident inside Pakistan will result in the immediate resumption of operations with renewed intensity.
