Operation 11 Garaj Continues: Security Forces Eliminate 11 Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

LAKKI MARWAT - Pakistan's security forces continue to conduct successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) under Operation 11 Garaj in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating 11 terrorists, including a key commander linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) .

According to security sources, two members of Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in the Shakro area of Bajaur district, while eight others were eliminated in the Darbi Khel and Batan areas of Khyber district . Fitna al-Khawarij is the state-designated term for terrorists belonging to the banned TTP.

Key Commander Killed

In a separate intelligence-based operation in the Chapri Naryab area of Hangu district, security forces killed a key terrorist commander identified as Muawiya, described as the mastermind behind the July 30 Hangu police check-post attack .

On July 30, nine policemen, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Diyar Khan, were martyred and 28 others injured after terrorists attacked the police check-post in Hangu district . Police killed 15 terrorists and wounded several others in a retaliatory operation. According to state broadcaster PTV, Muawiya held a senior position within Fitna al-Khawarij, ranking immediately after Commander Kazim .

Operations Intensify

Security forces also apprehended terrorist facilitators and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that were detected and safely destroyed . The operations, conducted with ground forces and quadcopter surveillance, forced terrorists to flee populated areas while enhancing the effectiveness of intelligence-based operations .

Security sources have reaffirmed that Operation 11 Garaj will continue until terrorism is completely eliminated . A day earlier, five "Indian-sponsored" terrorists were killed in an IBO in the Razmak area, while 24 were eliminated on July 29 in Khyber district .
