This article presents Marka-e-Haq as a landmark example of multi-domain operations, arguing that Pakistan is actively contesting on land, sea, air, and cyberspace to reestablish deterrence and signal readiness against both traditional and non traditional threats. It emphasizes interoperability among the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, and cyber capabilities to project a cohesive and credible posture. My assessment agrees that the framework of multi domain operations is strategically sound in modern warfare, where adversaries leverage cross domain approaches. Yet the true effectiveness of deterrence will depend on credible capabilities, robust command and control, resilient cyber defense, and the protection of civilian infrastructure. Inter service interoperability, ongoing training, and sustained funding are essential to realize the promised capabilities. The rhetoric of deterrence should be matched by prudent escalation controls, clear rules of engagement, and accountability mechanisms to prevent miscalculation. Non traditional threats such as cyber, space, and information warfare require more than hardware; they require doctrine, intelligence sharing, and adherence to international norms to avert unintended consequences. In my view, Marka-e-Haq offers a compelling record for deterrence and readiness, but its success will be judged by tangible outcomes, transparent governance, and continuous, measurable progress rather than rhetoric alone.
