He says "Pakistan has concerns regarding potential security threats from Afghan soil and Afghanistan fully understands these concerns. However, Afghanistan equally emphasizes that security-related allegations should be specific, exact and linked to concrete information, identifiable individuals, specific networks and particular cases.
Both countries must move beyond outdated assumptions about each other’s present realities. Today’s Afghanistan should not be assessed through the lens of the past several decades. Afghanistan is not the Afghanistan of the Cold War. It is not the Afghanistan of the 90s, nor it is the Afghanistan that existed after 2001 under the direct influence of foreign military presence and foreign political involvement. After 2021, a new political reality has emerged in Kabul."
