In a significant diplomatic and commercial engagement, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, H.E. Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, visited the National Logistics Cell (NLC) office and warehouse located in Kashgar, China. During the visit, NLC staff provided a comprehensive briefing on the organization’s operational capabilities, infrastructure, and ongoing initiatives aimed at streamlining cross-border trade between Pakistan and China. Ambassador Hashmi expressed strong appreciation for NLC’s leading role in enhancing bilateral connectivity and trade efficiency under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework. The visit underscores the strategic importance of Kashgar as a vital logistics hub linking China’s Xinjiang region with Pakistan’s northern areas. NLC, as a premier logistics and supply chain management entity, has been instrumental in facilitating the smooth movement of goods, reducing transit times, and lowering costs for businesses on both sides. Ambassador Hashmi commended NLC’s efforts in leveraging modern technology and infrastructure to overcome traditional trade bottlenecks.
