The operation is part of Pakistan's intensified campaign against militant networks operating in the country. In a separate major operation on the night of July 28-29, security forces conducted multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, killing a total of 32 terroristsΒ .
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in Balochistan's Nushki district, security personnel launched coordinated operations against militants linked to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) - officially designated asΒ Fitna al-HindustanΒ - killing eight terroristsΒ . Weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices were recovered and destroyedΒ .
In Khyber district, 24 terrorists belonging toΒ Fitna al-KhawarijΒ (TTP) were killed during multiple targeted operations on the night of July 28-29Β .
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their professional capabilities and successful operationsΒ . The Prime Minister reiterated the government's resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until the threat is completely eliminatedΒ .
