On Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan's military leadership has issued a powerful message of solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The nation observes this day to reaffirm its stance on the Kashmir dispute and to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, along with the Chief of Naval Staff and the Chief of Air Staff, reiterated the unwavering support of the Armed Forces of Pakistan for the Kashmiri people. In a joint statement, they expressed thatΒ "We can never forget our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. No story of Pakistan is complete without Kashmir."
The military leadership reaffirmed their steadfast support for the legitimate struggle of Kashmiri people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in international law and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The Armed Forces emphasized that Kashmir was, is, and will always remain an integral part of Pakistan. They stated that the continued illegal occupation of IIOJK remains a matter of "serious concern". The military leadership highlighted that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are intrinsically linked to the just and peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UNSC resolutions.
Youm-e-Istehsal is observed to express support for the Kashmiri people's right to freedom, and to protest India's unilateral and illegal action of August 5, 2019, when India stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status.
The Armed Forces paid solemn tribute to the martyrs of IIOJK and reiterated their enduring commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people in their just and rightful struggle for freedom.
