Meta recently announced the launch of its artificial intelligence, Meta AI, and will be available to all users in India. Meta AI will be available in English across all of the company’s apps – WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. Meta AI has entered India after months of unveiling. Facebook’s parent company made it available in countries like Australia, Canada and New Zealand more than two months ago. The move also comes after Google’s Gemini was launched in India a week ago.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Like other AI assistants, Meta AI will be able to perform daily tasks such as writing emails, summarizing texts, translations, etc. Although Meta AI was announced to be available starting today, it appears to be a gradual rollout. Even the main Meta AI website flashed the message “Meta AI is not yet available in your country.”
This may indicate that the AI assistant is intermittently available to users. The chatbot has been launched in more than 12 countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
How to use Meta AI?
Meta AI empowers the user to use the assistant in their existing personal and group chats on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger to ask for advice or ask questions. Meta AI’s latest image generation technology helps users take their creativity one step further. The program can also be used to create animations.
Google Gemini
Before Meta set foot in the Indian domain, Google introduced its AI assistant – the Gemini mobile app in India. The app is available on the PlayStore and is available in multiple languages including English and nine Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
According to Google, the Gemini app is designed to support multiple Indian languages to suit India’s diverse linguistic landscape. This expansion also provides wider accessibility, allowing users to perform various tasks such as planning events, creating recipes, and writing social media captions. Users can interact with Gemini by typing, chatting, or adding images.
